<p>So often when you are thinking about losing weight, you wonder how? Lose fat with a combination of the right diet and moderate exercise. It is far easier than it sounds. <p>What is moderate exercise?</p>
<p>This is the easy one. Moderate exercise is any exercise you enjoy at least three to for times a week for at least thirty to forty minutes a time. Make sure the exercise increases your heart beat. You can go for a brisk walk, jogging, kick a ball with the kids etc. anything you enjoy, as long as you get moving. As you become more fit and lighter you can move on to more strenuous exercise to speed up the weight loss even more.</p>
<p>Caution: never go on a strenuous exercise routine before first checking with your doctor, even if you feel perfectly healthy.</p>

Even those with anorexia and bulimia are often using their eating habits as a way to deal with the problems they see themselves facing. So how do you go about coping without going overboard? Start by evaluating your eating habits and goals. <span id="more-132"></span></p>
<p>People tend to eat too much. That&#8217;s the bottom line and the focus on those people is one reason other people tend to eat too little. If you&#8217;re in one category or the other, start by putting a number on your eating habits. It&#8217;s a lot of work but it will give you a very solid starting place.</p>
<p>Count calories for a week. Log everything you eat, but the key to establishing this starting point is to eat as you normally would. Don&#8217;t scrimp on meals just because you know you&#8217;re counting the calories. Start your diet next week. For the first seven days, simply keep a log of everything you eat.</p>
<p>That number may surprise you. You may discover that you don&#8217;t need to eat any less, but only that you need to eat a bit differently. Instead of the twenty-eight malted milk balls you had as a mid-afternoon snack, you may need to search out some healthier options for the snack times.</p>
<p>Another key to evaluating your eating habits is to divide the caloric intake up over the entire day. One problem many people face is the tendency to eat nothing for breakfast, nothing at lunchtime, and then to gorge themselves at supper &#8211; the worst meal of the day to overeat because the inactivity overnight won&#8217;t work off any of the calories. If this sounds familiar, look for some ways to spread out your food consumption during the day. Don&#8217;t like breakfast food? It doesn&#8217;t matter. A salad is a perfectly acceptable breakfast, as is a donut as long as you&#8217;re not overeating!</p>
<p>Pay attention to the myriad of dieting tips that make sense.</p>
<p>* Drink water instead of soft drinks &#8211; not only will this help keep your weight under control, it&#8217;s excellent for keeping skin toned.<br />
* Talk to your doctor before you make dramatic changes in your diet.<br />
* Remember that diet alone won&#8217;t solve nearly as much as diet combined with an exercise regimen.<br />
* Start by cutting the junk food and those less-than-healthy snacks.<br />
* Before you drastically alter your diet, remember that your body has some specific needs. Not eating enough will do you as much harm as overeating.</p>
<p>Finally, the one rule that is probably part of every successful healthy eating routine &#8211; It&#8217;s okay to cheat now and then. You should occasionally ditch the cucumbers and carrot sticks in favor of malted milk balls. Life is more than careful attention to diet and if you lose sight of the joys, you&#8217;re also going to lose sight of your goals for eating healthy.</p>

We need to stop looking  at weight loss as &#8220;this is going to be so hard&#8221;, or &#8220;I hate trying to  lose weight&#8221;, or &#8220;I will try again, but it probably won&#8217;t work&#8221;. We are  already talking ourselves out of loosing weight before we even start! I  am going to list for you some suggestions and ways to look at weight  loss so it will be easier for you to reach your goal.</p>
<p>* Determine how much weight you want to lose.<br />
* Set a goal of losing approximately 6-8 pounds a month. Don&#8217;t set  your goals to high for yourself because if you don&#8217;t meet your goal, you  will begin to think &#8220;this is not working&#8221; and give up to easily. Set  your goal so when you get on the scale, you feel great! You can say &#8220;I  did it&#8221;.<br />
* Only weigh yourself once a week, not daily.<br />
* Start drinking a lot of water. At least 64 ounces a day. You can  add lemon or lime juice for flavoring. But, no sugar! We are not making  lemonade here!<br />
* Plan on eating 5-6 meals a day. These will be smaller meals, so switch to using smaller plates.<br />
* Don&#8217;t skip any meals &#8211; so make sure you eat breakfast. Not donuts,  pancakes or sugary cereal. Have something like oatmeal, fruit, or steak  and eggs! Make each meal high in protein.<br />
* Start eating slow. Slow, slow, slow. Chewing each bite at least 25 times will slow you down.<br />
* Be more active. I am not telling you that you need to join a gym  or buy exercise equipment. That is fine if you want to do that, but it  is not necessary. Just be more active. Take a walk each day. You don&#8217;t  have to jog or run. Just walk, walk, walk. Try to increase the length of  your walk each week. I know weather conditions can put a damper on  walking outdoors, so if that is the case, go to an indoor mall. You can  do plenty of walking in a mall, and don&#8217;t take the escalator or  elevator, use the stairs!! Park further away and walk!<br />
* Clean out your refrigerator, freezer, cabinets and pantry. Get rid  of all the foods that you should not be eating. Junk food snacks, sugar  products, white flour products, high-fat and high-calorie foods and  bread products must go out the door! Having them out of the house will  make it easier for you to &#8220;give up&#8221;.<br />
* Eat vegetables. As many as you want.<br />
* Eat foods high in protein. Chicken, turkey, fish, steak, ham, eggs are a few examples.<br />
* Always look forward to the end result. Keep seeing yourself at  your desired weight. Keep reminding yourself that you can do this.<br />
* Try to keep this fun. Don&#8217;t work yourself to hard or you will get discouraged.<br />
* If you change your current habits to the points mentioned above,  you will lose weight. And you will continue to lose weight as long as  you keep up with it.<br />
* Remember, if you are in-active, sit around and eat the wrong foods, your body will not change.<br />
* The easy, best way to look at this is: increase activity, eat the  correct foods, and keep your desire to lose weight, and YOU WILL!!!!!</p>
